Copyright: Copyright, put simply, is the permission to copy. It gives authors, musicians, and artists, a way to make money off of their creations. If an author owns the copyright to something that he wrote, it means that only he has permission to copy it and make money from it. In most cases, no one else may use his words, otherwise they are in violation of the copyright. When you copy someone else's words and lead people to believe they are your own, it is called plagiarism. Click on the link below to learn more: http://www.copyrightkids.org/whatcopyframes.htm
Acceptable Use: Internet access is provided to all students in Frederick County. It is meant to be used for educational purposes only and must be accessed through the FCPS network. Students are expected to use the internet responsibly and to access authorized resources only. Cyber bullying, threats, and stalking are strictly prohibited. While on the internet, students must act as they do within the school environment: with responsibility, caring, and good citizenship at all times. All Middle and High School students must sign the "Acceptable Use Policy" at the beginning of the year if they want to access the internet independently.
